I have to say, office chairs do make a world of difference. I used to think the Aeron chair was another sign of American excess during the dot com era, but having worked in an office fully loaded with them I became a convert.
Years later, working from home I invested in a Herman Miller chair for my own office. I was at least savvy enough to buy it on sale via Amazon (who sold it to me through a company like sit4less). After a a few months of back pain from my $40 office depot chair, I finally splurged for the Aeron. My back hasn't hurt ever since. I agree it was worth every penny. I wrote a full review of the Aeron on my blog if you want to check it out.
