If you have a normal job, nine to five and with a regular salary, then why would you want to give up your day job, just to work from home and probably take a pay cut? And suffer all the questions and demands for information etc.
But that is nothing, to the task ahead, how do you know that you are ready to work at home?
What will I do? This is going to be your prime concern, how you are going to earn a living in the future.
What am I qualified to do? The obvious choice would be to either start a business or do some work that you are experienced in, this means that you can either start advertising or search for jobs, knowing that you are qualified to get going straight away, with no training etc.
Can I afford any initial investment? There is always going to be an investment when starting off, even if you are working for someone, you will need find work space, office equipment, bills and so on. If you are starting off on your own, the costs will be higher because you have advertising and equipment etc. It is quite a risk to take, because not only are losing the regular income and using up your savings too.
Will this pay the bills? You have to be realistic in the fact that how much you can earn, you cannot expect to be getting in a lot of work at first, because you will be new, same goes for working fro someone, you need to make sure that you are able to do the hours, remember it is easy to get into a lazy habit, and then get behind on what you are doing.
Will I be able to do this job and manage my family and household? You will still have a home life, so you have to get the balance right between home and work, it takes some doing, but it will be worth it in the end.
