    Creating a home office

There are many ideas about home offices, where they should be located, what they should contain and so on, but basically it is down you and your personal circumstances, everyone would love to have an attic room converted into an office, and where your desk over looks the sea, but that is for the few, not the many.
    Homeoffice

Here are just seven tips on creating an office in your home.

    1. Location, it is good to have a dedicated workspace where only you work, no sharing or anything, this can be anywhere that you feel comfortable with.

    2. View, it is better not to stair at a wall, as this can act as a mental block from everything, if possible locate your desk in a light and airy place, preferably near a window for fresh air.

    3. Technology requirements, check over what you are going to need, internet, fax, and phone lines are more or less essential, but other things too, like printers and routers, all these things need to be considered before you set up office.

    4. Make your self comfortable, look for a decent desk and office chair, you cannot sit for long periods of time at a kitchen table and chairs, look for a proper office chair that can be adjusted to the right height for you and the desk.

    5. Light, one thing that is often over looked, is the lighting of your work area, you need, proper light, do struggle with low power lamps or badly lit rooms, this will make you feel tired and I would have thought may have an effect on your eyesight too.

    6. Personalize, sometimes you wish to personalize your desk area, there are hundreds of office toys and functional items that will make your day easier and maybe fun, but do not lose sight of the job at hand, you are there to work and make living.

    7. Interruptions, there cannot be anything worse than when you are in full flow, being stopped by a friend or family member, this can have a detrimental effect on your whole day, once you have stopped to chat, either on the phone or face to face, it is always very hard to get back to work again, and when you do, you are behind. Avoid this at all costs, don’t answer phone or door, tell everyone not call around or ring you up, would they do that if you had a regular job, I don’t think so.
