    Twenty things not to do before starting a business

    We have all heard of the things that you must do before starting a business, but what about the thing that you should not be doing, those things that won’t really make much difference to your business, but may affect your bank balance in the mean time.
    Homework

    1. Don’t quit your job - Work around it, the money comes in handy.

    2. Don’t incorporate - Make money first, incorporate later.

    3. Don’t get company bank accounts - Use your own for now.

    4. Don’t rent an office - Work from home, its cheaper.

    5. Don’t hire an attorney - You will not need one.

    6. Don’t hire an accountant - Just keep all bills, receipts and invoices.

    7. Don’t take out a loan - Borrow from family or friends if you have to.

    8. Don’t hire anyone - You work for yourself.

    9. Don’t get a business license - Wait until you making money.

    10. Don’t patent anything - It’s just not worth it.

    11. Don’t get a logo - You are the logo.

    12. Don’t worry about a business name - Your business name is yours.

    13. Don’t advertise - It is too expensive.

    14. Don’t buy office supplies - Why would you need it.

    15. Don’t buy equipment - Use outside sources.

    16. Don’t get a partner - Keep all the profits for yourself.

    17. Don’t join the Chamber of Commerce - Why would you need to.

    18. Don’t inform anyone about your business - keep it to yourself until you are established.

    19. Don’t write a business plan - You know what you are doing.

    20. Don’t get a business phone line or mailing address - use your home, it’s cheaper.
