If you have a blog, then you want people to read it! It is not enough to make excellent posts to your blog each day. You will need to put quite a bit of time into promoting your blog if you want it seen.

I suggest reading the rest of that article to find out his other tips. My blog traffic is decent but always look for ways to improve. I did everything he said and am interested in finding out if it increases my traffic.
