Does Your Home Business Have a Domain Name?

It’s interesting, but many people who have a home business don’t set up a domain name. A non-scientific poll on Just Make Money Online points out that many people don’t have a domain name. But in today’s tech-savvy world, it is important to set up a domain name if you have a home business. This way you can reach more people, and send people to an "address" on the world wide Web where they can learn more about you.

If you don’t have a domain name, look into it. Do some research and see what you can find. There are plenty of templates out there, along with low-cost Web hosting.

Tomorrow: I review my Web host.

A domain name is a good investment if you want to maintain an online presence in the long haul. I've experienced the difficulty myself during my transfer from a free hosted site to my own domain name.

Yes, switching over can be rough. It's hard to have all that information remain intact when you switch. My Web host offers free hosting, with my own domain name. I'm writing about it tomorrow.
