One of the things that can be sort of frustrating for me as someone who does work from home is the fact that I don’t get the same vacation days as my husband and son, both of whom are in school. My husband can amuse himself — usually with a combination of video games and grudging attempts to make progress with whatever thesis or dissertation he’s working on.
My son, however, is a little tougher. So I was very excited to see that, over at Sparkplugging, there is a list of printable word puzzles with a holiday theme. Great stuff. My son loves words and he is learning to read. The puzzles cover different age groups and levels, and can keep him occupied for 30 to 60 minutes at a time.
What do you do when school is out and the kids are home?
