Telecommuting is gaining in popularity right now, and it's no surprise. With the economy prompting companies to cut costs, and with more people interested in working from home, more businesses are seeing the benefit in telecommuting.
Besides, technology makes it easy to outsource such functions as tech support, sales and customer service to people who work from home. All they need is high-speed Internet access, a little training and some basic home office equipment.
Here are 3 companies that allow you to work from home via telecommuting:
2. Convergys, the telemarketing and call center company, also allows some to work from home. You do need a USB headset to participate, though, and in some cases Convergys limits who can participate.
3. Working Solutions is a company that provides services in order processing, customer service, market research and other job descriptions, meant to fit your needs. Working solutions has won awards as a "place" to work.
Do you know of any other companies that allow workers to engage in telecommuting?

I agree. It is much cheaper for businesses and organizations to keep employees at home and not have to provide the facilities for them to work. However, I am a big proponent for starting home businesses to earn and income. I like the versatility and flexibility of a home-based business.

Convergys is the worst company ever to work for they expect you to do at 4 departments worth of work depending on the client I know mine was that way it’s like no don’t transfer to collections unless they can’t pay their payment arrangement, um wtf if its in collections period thats where the call needs to go.
Their training is a joke the first 3 weeks you won’t learn much just keep getting pestered by being introduced to trainers from different levels and them interviewing you as a group to get your feedback on the hiring process which most people lie and say great because we haven’t learned or done much of anything up to that point so all you can say is good so far because your getting paid for nothing.
It’s funny though soon as you run into an issue they are quick to blame your ISP and those senior trainers that you get introduced to who leave you their # telling you to contact them if you have any issues are snarky I called one of the three and she was telling me I Wasn’t suppose to be calling her when she gave my class her #! Some senior Trainer!
Don’t even get me started on their dumb I.T. support the rude Bomgar techs from third world countries who are just as rude.
They are about as bad as their outsourced HR who can’t even answer questions about payroll!
I see first hand why ex-agents of Convergys I met at Brick and Mortar sites were HAPPY to get away from this company and their laughing stock pay per performance, screw a $1 raise LOL you don’t even get a clear-cut metric system to know how they come up with the extra $1 on your paycheck.
It’s just a smack in the face all around.
