Working from Home: Don’t Get TOO Comfy

One of the things that many people like about working from home is the fact that it is possible to work in your pajamas. While this is technically true, the reality is that it may not be the best idea. I read a post earlier today on Bargaineering about dressing appropriately for an interview. Well, even if you aren’t interviewing for a more traditional job, it is important to realize that when you work with clients out of your home, your image still matters.

While you may not need to go put on a suit in order to be ready to work from home, it can help to be well-groomed and at least get out of the sweats. This is increasingly true as technology makes it possible to hold meetings using Web cams. You want to be able to project a professional image, whether you are speaking via Web cam, or meeting a local client face-to-face for lunch.
